Trey Saddler’s Personal Site

Hello, and welcome to my personal site!

I’m a data scientist and AI engineer with 10+ years of experience building scientific computing, data, and AI systems at the National Institutes of Health. I work on LLMs, RAG, cloud infrastructure, and scientific computing, and I’m an advocate for Indigenous data sovereignty.

I’m currently looking for work. If you’re hiring for LLM, RAG, data science, or cloud AI work, especially in science or academia, please email me or take a look at my resume. I’m also taking on consulting work, especially on Indigenous data sovereignty.

Most recently I was a Computer and Information Research Scientist – SME at Dynanet Corporation, where I led AI/LLM development and AWS cloud infrastructure strategy for the Modernization of Collection of Alternative Methods for Regulatory Application (CAMERA) Project at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). Before that I spent ten years at NIEHS as a data scientist and research fellow, most recently leading an NIH-funded project on running LLMs in the cloud.

My current specialty is working with LLMs and AI agents. I use LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc. I also love analyzing data and producing beautiful reports using Quarto. You can also contact me if you need any assistance with databases, especially graph databases. I’ve been itching to put Gel DB into practice for a project.

I made a YouTube video about Cytoscape that got a lot of views and I would like to get back to making more videos. I’ve also been on some scientific publications.

You can learn more about me, read my resume, or find me on LinkedIn.
